Concrete pumping with the City of Orlando
This concrete pumping job was performed for the City, we pumped a small bridge for them. One of the conditions was that the pump needed to be clean, no oil spills could be left on the property and no mechanical issues on the pump, the machine needed to have full reverse to avoid any blow outs into the lake below or get the side rails spilled with mud, therefore we sent one of our strongest hydraulic units into action, this machine uses a system called “S” tube, since it uses an S shaped valve, that oscillates from one material cylinder to the other, this allows for a full reverse; this way removing the pressure from the hoses in case of a plug, and making it extremely easy to remove the clamps or even preventing an immediate hose burst.
We used a 2″ hose to avoid having to move a very heavy 3″ hose in the narrow space that the bridge provided, also to accelerate the speed the job was taking place, since we all were under a time constraint to get this job done. Chairs were placed, rebar was laid, and forms were installed at the perimeter of the bridge structure. The concrete called for was 4,000 PSI with a 1/2″ Aggregate, which was very easy for our concrete pump to deliver. The biggest challenge was avoiding plugs in the middle of the bridge, we needed to get the mix wet, but not too wet that it would loose the 4,000 PSI breaking point in the indicated time frame. Needless to say, we got the job done, the customer was extremely happy and we made a new repeating customer.
All our machines undergo an rigorous maintenance and upkeep procedure, giving you; the customer, peace of mind that your job will be performed to fruition and with no headaches, our concrete pumping services are certified, and insured.
